Matchup set for Tuesday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. at American Legion Memorial Stadium
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 22, 2024) – Second Round matchups for the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer’s annual club championship, were announced today. The Charlotte Independence will host South Carolina United Heat on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. at American Legion Memorial Stadium.
Tickets are now on sale for $15 here. Season ticket members will receive further communication about tickets for the match soon.
The Independence advanced to the Second Round with a 2-0 win over Vereinigung Erzgebirge on Thursday evening. #6 Omar Ciss and #9 Kharlton Belmar scored to secure a win for the Jacks.
South Carolina United Heat, a UPSL Side, faced Crown Legacy FC on Thursday evening and earned a last-minute victory thanks to a penalty kick in second half stoppage time.
The Second Round matchup will be the first meeting between the Charlotte Independence and South Carolina United Heat.
